Starting your own business can be a challenging road, but it doesn’t have to be lonely. Many of us these days, would love to go it alone, but we don’t know where to start. Maybe we have an idea!! What now?

On Wednesday, 26 August 2020 we hosted a webinar and discussed how do you go from having an idea for a business to actually starting the business. We spoke about how to validate the business idea before you start investing in it and also how and why business planning is important.

Go from an IDEA to a Start-up! focusses on teaching you what the steps are to take to validate your business idea. This is very important as you don’t want to waste time and money on gong in the wrong direction.

We spoke with Alvira Fisher, who is passionate about social change Alvira has recently embarked on a new career in Social Entrepreneurship where she aims to utilize her business acumen and skill to contribute to building sustainable new businesses that have a strong social influence and benefit. Prior to her career change, Alvira Fisher has spent nearly 20 years within the Financial Services industry mainly specializing in governance practices and in the latter part of her tenure in regulatory operational implementation. She holds a Master’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Stellenbosch in South Africa.
